Reactors and Process Vessels for Controlled Mixing, Heating and Pharmaceutical Production
For liquid, semi-solid, and suspension-based products, controlled reaction, mixing, and temperature management are critical to ensure product consistency, stability, and compliance. Reactors and process vessels provide the foundation for reproducible and hygienic production processes.
Control temperature, mixing, and process conditions in hygienic vessel systems
The reactors, process vessels, and premix vessels from Omniprojekt are designed for pharmaceutical-grade production of liquids, suspensions, and semi-solid products, combining controlled mixing, heating, cooling, and hygienic design in a single system.
The portfolio includes:
- Reactor vessels (200–1,000 L) for temperature-controlled production processes
- Process vessels (15–120 L) for mixing and formulation
- Premix vessels for preparation steps with optional heating and cooling
All vessels are constructed with AISI 316L stainless steel for product contact surfaces and AISI 304 for structural components, ensuring corrosion resistance and compliance with GMP standards. Internal surfaces are polished to Ra < 0.8 µm, minimizing contamination risk and enabling efficient cleaning.
The vessels can be equipped with double-jacket (duplicator) systems for indirect heating (up to ~95°C) and cooling, enabling precise thermal control of the product. Mixing is performed using turbine, central, ram, or magnetic mixers, depending on product viscosity and process requirements.
Temperature is monitored via probes and controlled through PID regulation, while optional configurations include:
- Vacuum or overpressure operation
- Load cells for precise weight measurement
- SCADA integration for process automation and monitoring
All vessels are designed without dead zones and include CIP (clean-in-place) spray balls, ensuring complete drainage, easy cleaning, and hygienic operation.
These systems are suitable for processing solutions, syrups, suspensions, creams, and powder-liquid mixtures across pharmaceutical, chemical, and related industries.
