Powder Filling and Capping Machine for Pharmaceutical Bottles

When packaging powder products into bottles, dosing accuracy, containment, and compliance with GMP standards are critical. A monoblock filling system allows you to dose, close, and inspect powder-filled bottles in a controlled and integrated process.

Dose powders and close bottles with controlled accuracy

The powder filling monoblock from Omniprojekt is a fully automatic rotary system designed to dose pharmaceutical powders into bottles and perform closing, labelling, and inspection within a single integrated unit. The machine is built according to GMP standards, with all product-contact parts manufactured from FDA-approved materials, ensuring compliance in regulated environments.

Bottles are transported through the system via a stepwise rotating carousel. Powder dosing is carried out using a servo-driven screw (auger) dosing system, where a defined volume of powder is dispensed into each container. The auger system ensures consistent dosing, while the servo drive allows precise adjustment and repeatability across production runs.

A receiving hopper with integrated mixer maintains a constant product level and prevents segregation or bridging of powder during operation, which is essential for maintaining dosing consistency.

Closures are oriented using a vibratory feeding system and applied via a pick-and-place mechanism. The capping process is controlled with servo-driven torque, ensuring secure and repeatable closure application for different bottle formats and closure types.

To ensure product quality, the system can be equipped with a checkweighing function, measuring bottles before and after filling and adjusting dosing parameters in real time. Integrated inspection and rejection systems remove underfilled or non-compliant bottles from the line.

The machine supports bottle sizes starting from 10 ml and operates at capacities of up to 3,000 bottles per hour, making it suitable for pharmaceutical production environments requiring both precision and throughput.

Optional modules include vacuum powder feeding systems, labelling stations, inkjet coding, and accumulation tables, allowing the system to be configured as a complete packaging solution.

The system is controlled via a Siemens HMI with PLC, enabling full process control, parameter storage, and remote monitoring in line with Industry 4.0 requirements.
