Bottle and Can Labelling and Coding Machine for Beverage Packaging Lines
When packaging beverages or liquid foods, labelling and coding must match line speed while ensuring traceability and regulatory compliance. An integrated labelling and marking system allows you to apply product information, branding, and identification without interrupting production flow.
Apply labels and print codes at production line speed
The marking and labelling systems from Ferrum Group are designed to apply labels and product codes to containers, multipacks, and pallets within automated filling and packaging lines. The systems are configured to match line capacity, ranging from 1,000 up to 60,000 units per hour, ensuring consistent operation across low to high-speed production environments.
For primary packaging, the system supports multiple labelling technologies, including wet glue labelling and pressure-sensitive (self-adhesive) labelling. These can be applied to glass bottles, PET bottles, cans, and jars, with configurations for body labels, neck labels, back labels, or full-body sleeve applications. Shrink sleeve systems are also used for cap sealing or full-container decoration, depending on branding and functional requirements.
In addition to labelling, the system integrates date coding and product marking technologies, such as inkjet printers and laser coders. These are used to apply batch numbers, expiry dates, and traceability codes directly onto containers at line speed. Coding systems can be selected based on substrate, durability requirements, and production conditions.
For secondary and tertiary packaging, the system includes case and pallet labelling solutions, enabling identification of multipacks and logistics units. These systems can be connected to ERP or warehouse management systems, ensuring accurate tracking and traceability throughout the supply chain.
To maintain quality and compliance, the system can be equipped with camera-based inspection systems that verify label presence, positioning, and code readability. This reduces the risk of mislabelled products and supports regulatory requirements in food and beverage production.
The equipment is designed for seamless integration with fillers, cappers, and packaging systems, with a high level of automation to minimise operator intervention and ensure consistent performance.
