When packaging liquid or viscous products into small-format pouches, you need a system that forms, fills, and seals bags in one continuous process. A compact form-fill-seal machine allows you to produce consistent sachets with controlled dosing and minimal material waste.

Form, fill, and seal pouches in a continuous process

The Unipak pouch filling machine from Omniprojekt is a fully automatic form-fill-seal system designed to package liquid, creamy, and pasty products into four-side sealed sachets. The machine forms pouches directly from laminated film rolls, fills them with product, and seals them in a continuous operation.

The process starts with two رولs of laminated foil, which are fed into the machine and thermally welded to form a pouch. The product is then dosed into the formed pouch using a piston-based volumetric dosing system (standard), with options for mass flow or magnetic dosing depending on product characteristics. After filling, the pouch is sealed on all four sides, creating a compact and leak-proof package.

The machine supports both simplex (single-lane) and duplex (double-lane) configurations. In duplex mode, the system can reach capacities of up to 3,600 pouches per hour, while simplex operation delivers up to 1,800 pouches per hour, depending on pouch size and product type.

The system handles a wide viscosity range, from low-viscosity liquids such as water or syrups to high-viscosity products such as creams, gels, mayonnaise, and sauces. Pouch sizes range from 35–150 mm width and 50–200 mm length, with maximum dimensions of approximately 150 × 200 mm.

A 30-litre hopper with level control ensures consistent product supply during operation. The machine is controlled via a Siemens HMI and PLC, allowing precise adjustment of dosing, sealing, and production parameters. Integrated sensor systems monitor machine performance, while optional systems such as checkweighing, metal detection, and printing (inkjet or thermal) support quality control and traceability.

The compact design (approx. 1000 × 1400 × 2000 mm) allows installation in space-constrained environments, while modular construction enables quick format changes and easy maintenance
