The Galaxy 130 cartoning machine from Accupack Engineering is an intermittent motion horizontal cartoner designed for pharmaceutical packaging lines handling products such as blister packs, bottles, tubes, vials, trays, and ampoules. The machine reaches outputs of up to 130 cartons per minute, making it suitable for medium-capacity packaging lines.
Cartons are picked and opened using a servo-driven positive carton opening system, ensuring reliable carton forming before product insertion. A three-arm carton pick-up mechanism transfers cartons from the magazine to the loading station, supporting consistent carton positioning during operation.
The system accommodates cartons with widths from 15–95 mm, heights from 15–70 mm, and lengths from 70–160 mm, enabling a wide range of pharmaceutical packaging formats.Products are transferred from upstream equipment such as blister packaging machines or bottle fillers and inserted into cartons in synchronisation with the intermittent motion cycle. The machine supports both tuck-in and hotmelt closure systems, allowing different carton sealing configurations depending on packaging requirements.
